A stylish and extremely well made pair of Art Deco shell back armchairs. They were made in England, they date from the 1930’s.

They have a very interesting design, with a beautiful curved tub shape and built in carry handles on the sides. They are fairly compact and petite, yet are generous enough to feel very comfortable.

The wrap around shell backs are mostly made from zebrano wood which has a lovely, striking grain pattern. The recessed base is made from a band of mahogany and a band of walnut beneath that, giving a lovely contrast.

We have had the frames stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, they have been fully re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric. The condition is superb throughout.
