A pair of iconic Wassily armchairs, designed by Marcel Breuer in the 1920’s. They are made from tubular chromed steel and high quality leather. This is a very high quality pair dating from the 1960’s, they are unmarked so we are not sure who made them, but they were most likely made by Gavina in Italy. They are definitely not like the cheap and poorly made modern reproductions that are widely available. This pair are very well made with thick high quality black leather, and lovely light coloured stitching around the edges. The condition is excellent for their age, with only some light wear here and there.
