1950’s Double Helix Sideboard in Rosewood & Mahogany by Gordon Russell

A stunning and iconic vintage sideboard designed by David Booth and Judith Ledeboer, manufactured by Gordon Russell. This was designed in the very early 1950’s, and was on display at the festival of Britain in 1951. It went into production from 1953, this example dates from the mid 1950’s. It has rosewood doors, routed with the pattern of a double helix, giving rise to its name. The top, sides and interior are mahogany. We have had this stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is superb throughout.
