A stunning and very rare vintage leather top desk by Beresford and Hicks. This was made in England, it dates from the 1950-60’s. Beresford and Hicks were manufacturers of extremely high quality furniture, they made very limited amounts, this is a unique desk that you won’t find anywhere else.

It is of superb quality and has a very stylish design, reminiscent of the Italian designs by Gio Ponti. It is made from solid sapele wood, with a useful bank of drawers on one sides and stylish, angular legs on the opposite side, connected by a solid brass supporting rail. The drawers have lovely recessed handles, the top is wrapped in black leather, and this has a polished back, so it can be used as a free standing item.

We have had this stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is excellent for its age.
