A stylish and very rare vintage rosewood sideboard by Gordon Russell. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1960-70’s.
The quality is outstanding, this is extremely well made, with stunning rosewood grain patterns and colour tones. There is lots of storage space, the bank of drawers in the middle have beautifully lipped handles and fine dovetailed joints. The outer edges are beautifully curved, there is lovely rosewood banding on the top and lower edges. The top drawer has a removable cutlery divider.
We have had this stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is superb throughout.
The wood is Santos rosewood, which does not require a CITES or article 10.
