A stylish and exceptionally rare vintage Danish dining table in rosewood. This was designed by Ib Kofod Larsen for Christensen and Larsen, it dates from the 1960’s.
The quality is outstanding, this has a very sturdy yet also extremely elegant design. The tapered legs are finely sculpted, they are beautifully joined into the upper frame of the base. The square top also has tapered edges, the top slides across and unfolds to double in size on amazing exposed brass hinges. The rosewood grain patterns and colours are gorgeous throughout.
We have had this stripped and re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age. There are a few small areas on the top where the veneer has raised, only visible from certain angles. This still presents beautifully.
