A beautiful and iconic CH-23 model chair designed by Hans Wegner, this was made in Denmark by Carl Hansen & Sons, it dates from the 1950-60’s. It’s in lovely vintage condition, with some minor surface wear here and there. This has a teak and beech frame, with lovely detailing in the back rest. The original paper cord seat is in very good condition, with no damage, and the whole thing is sturdy and sound. On the upper front leg there is a tiny area of cracking to the wood, but this is superficial, it hasn’t split very deep and it doesn’t affect the structural integrity.
