A stunning and exceptionally comfortable pair of vintage cream leather and teak Housemaster armchairs by G Plan. These were designed by KM Wilkins, they were made in England and date from the 1970’s.
This model is very rare and hard to find, to have pair in this condition is quite unique.
They are of absolutely amazing quality, are very generous in proportions and are so very, very comfortable! The teak frames are beautifully sculpted with stylish chrome supports on the backs and arms. These swivel, rock and roll smoothly on casters. They sit on teak five pointed bases, they are well sprung, and very sturdy.
They are in excellent condition for their age, the cream leather is mostly in fantastic order, there is just some very light distressing to the leather on the armrests. It’s not noticeable at all to look at in the images or in real life, its just a little noticeable to the touch but doesn’t detract from the overall impressiveness. The teak frames are also in excellent order, we have given them a good clean and fresh oil polish. There has been one tiny historical repair to one teak slat on the upper section, seen in the image and again not noticeable at all, as the cushion hides it completely.
