A stunning, very large and very unusual Danish coffee table in rosewood. This dates from the 1960’s.
It has a unique reversible mechanism that we have never seen before. The centre of the top is rosewood on one side and black formica on the underside. There is a locking mechanism on each end, that when unlocked allows the centre piece to spin around, to use whichever side preferred. The formica side is meant for serving drinks/food etc so the wood does not get damaged.
This is beautifully made, with exposed biscuit joints on the corners. It is solid and veneered rosewood throughout. this is very large, sturdy and sound.
We have had this stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, we also replaced the old formica which was white with this new black formica. The condition is superb throughout.
