A stylish and extremely well made Danish vintage rosewood dining table by John Mortensen, dating from the 1960’s.
This is of exceptional quality, the large round circular top can seat six comfortably. This is an extending table that comes with two leaves, unfortunately we noticed that the leaves are slightly warped after we had this re-polished, so when it is opened with one leaf or with both leaves added, there is a gap of about 5 mm that will not close. It is still a very useful six seater when closed, and can be extended to seat ten if you don’t mind the small gap. A table cloth when opened would make this unnoticeable.
The condition is excellent, we have had this stripped and re-polished to a very high standard the leaves match the top in colour and grain pattern perfectly. The circular section of the top when closed is completely flat. The top detaches from the base for ease of transport.
